Mood Rings

They were a huge fad in the late 70's and are still relatively popular today. The explanation of these rings is that it reflects your emotions. Ex. the stone should be dark blue when you are happy.

Black when your stressed or tense. Red when you are full of energy or green if you are normal. Scientifically these rings can't reflect your mood. In reality these rings indicate the tempature at which your body reacts to certain moods.

Mood Ring Meanings

Blue: Relaxed, Calm
Green: Normal, Average
Black: Stessed, Tense
Grey: Very nervous, Anxious
White: Bored, Confussed, Frustrated
Purple: Clarity, Sensual
Amber: Mixed emotions, Unsettled
Pink: Uncertain, Fear
Red: Energy, Excited
Bronze: Restless

The stone is usually one of two types.

  • Glass stone sitting on a thin sheet of liquid crystals
  • A hollow glass shell filled with liqud crystals.

The inside of the ring conducts heat from your finger to the liquid crystals in the stone. This causes the ring to turn different colors.
